Brooker crosses magical 100!
Back to back wins for Real
Madrid-Champs: First the away 3-2 thriller win at The Achintyans and
then a scintillating 2-1 win at home against leaders Dynamo Costco has
put the club back in hot pursuit of the 1a division honours!
But a much more important event occurred as RMC set foot upon Achintyans' Old Attavar stadium: veteran defender Mathew Brooker wore the coveted white jersey for his 100th game and it was a very crucial win too. He is the club's first player ever to reach the "legend" status and the club directors presented him with the customary Golden Heart, given only to 18 other players in LXM history so far.
In his day, Brooker was considered the best defender in LXM and is still a top centre-half. Tall and physical, he scores and creates as well, bagging 5 goals and 12 assists in 101 games. Various clubs have longed to get their hands on Brooker: Bad Boys and Sparks United, most notable of them. He has shared the RMC defence in it's glory days with Rory Ravenhill, Sergio Ramos, Roberto Carlos, Fabio Cannavaro and notably the now transferred Fernando Hierro.
The 6 points off the last two games puts RMC second with 17 points- just 1 behind Costco...
