Metro have secured themselves in 3rd place for at least 1 match after defeating Grand Rapid Torpedos 2-1.
'That was a close one', said manager Dapianoplaya. 'I have spectated the game and i'm proud of Somner. However, a lack of performance in defense led to a goal from Benedict Andrews. I still need to work on that. I am proud to say that despite the number of goals, our chances were more than double of the opposition even though they turned up their offense.'
Laurence Brumwell finally showed some justice after a long injury that lasted 5 weeks. He took a shot inside the penalty area that earned Metro their win and security for the next match.
Records show that Metro has been about the team, and not just about star players or 8 skilled strikers. The defenders are even scoring or assisting. The goalies have been keeping almost every shot from entering the net. Their away record was even outstanding ever since manager Dapianoplaya stepped into the picture last season.
