Its Home and Its a Win

The tendancy of visiting teams to play defensive continued again as Viva posted yet another win at Kaloor Stadium. Whether it is the fear of getting hammered or tactical masterstroke is still to be known.

Two of the Champs' heavyweights visited Viva back to back in the league, without any intend of attacking football and the result remained the same. Viva won again 1-0 and is now second from top behind Rocking11 on goal difference. Bad Boys were dominated possession wise, but they held their defense tight to prevent further goals.

At one point the match looked like it was going the wrong way for Viva when Bad Boys scored, only to be disallowed because it was a handball. Ricardo Kaka sealed a penalty to give a 1-0 lead and the defense maintained its performance levels from last game to hang on to the lead.

Even though the manager was happy because of the result, there have been rising concerns about the teams goal touch, which had made Viva one of two most entertaining teams in the Champs if not the most. "It will change hopefully, its too early to say, our away record have always been poor, so the Rocking11 game was fine, but in the two home games the opposition played defensively, and that might have had a say in the lack of goals from the team. Hopefully, both the away form and goal scoring form will change when we face Barks United."
