Manager disappointment with finishing
Black Pearl had given their all
against League champions Grand Rapid Torpedos and could have won their
last game against them if the players upfront could have done a good
finishing.
"I can't believe that we lost the game. We controlled the ball so well and also had our chances. Its difficult to believe that we lost the game despite having so many chances. To be honest it is a very frustrating defeat for us."
Tony Adams and his strike partner had missed a huge number of chances on goal. Goalkeeper saved the penalty in the 2nd half but couldn't stopped Torpedos to get their 2nd goal.
"We have the quality. I think we have done everything right except finishing. I think we should not put much pressure on the players and let them do their job. They knew that their finishing taken the game off from them."
The season has ended after that defeat for Black Pearl and they have finished at 3rd spot.
"I think it was a great achievement for the team. 3rd spot is a strong finish in the 1st season. Their is lot more to come from these players."
