Metro vs. Sneakypimp
A 2nd string line-up from Metro
pitted themselves against Sneakypimp, a team that was took over by a
new manager, who happened to be Dapianoplaya's buddy,
The match ended in a 2-1 defeat, with a late goal from Geoffrey Chamberlain. "This was unfair. A late goal like this always happens in league matches and it is very demoralising. However, the team accepts this defeat because they themselves admitted that they were not on form. Aaron Lennon, however did his best to assist Freddy Waddle for that equaliser, and i'm proud of him." said manager Dapianoplaya.
Pressure was applied from both teams to keep possession in the midfields, and Sneakypimp had plenty of chances compared to Metro. However, they did not win by a big margin and by supposedly sheer luck.
Colbert Sheridan sat alongside the manager Dapianoplaya and not on the bench because Dapianoplaya wanted to keep him on form.
Colbert Sheridan said,"Our team will only get stronger through defeats, and this is proven due to the fact we have not been losing recently. My team can muster the courage from this lesson to face Grand Rapid Torpedos this weekend, who are on top of the table currently. Let's hope that Trinity United XI beats Black Pearl Pirates this round too so that we have a chance of going up the table."
Dapianoplaya concluded "Whatever happens at the end of the season, i do not regret playing in this team and this division, because all of the managers show sportsmanship and professionalism. We will do our best and we will take what comes."
