RELIEF.. Thats
what was filled around the Kaloor Stadium after the match against
Achintyans was over. The fans were singing again, the manager was
smiling again and the players were running again, it may sound like a
poem but thats what sums the last day of season 4 for Viva Kerala.
The overall gloomy mood in the stadium was gone before you knew it was there. Before even the end of first minute there was good news. Rocking 11 had scored against Empyreon F.C. It should be said that the live timing clearly lifted the spirits of the Viva players. Then the floodgates opened. Viva bagged 4 goals within the first 21 st minutes making the match all but theirs. Then another sweetener came. Rocking 11 had scored the 2nd goal. It was clear the god had at last favored Viva. A draw between Rocking 11 and Empyreon could have meant disaster for Viva even then but all fears were wiped out when Rocking11 bagged there third goal. When the 90 minutes were over, Viva is still among the top teams in the LXM.
The manager was in a jubilant mood, he came towards the reporters rather than the reporters going to the manager, "I would like to thank Arsalan08 for going on for a win even when they could have done with a draw. They have helped us stay here and also put off Empyreon. Haha....they beat us every time when we were looking strong. Thank god we don't have to deal with them at least for another season. What a day, we are in and our bogey team are out." the manager pounced on to the microphone and said.
A reporter probably from the other side of the city was kind enough to ask about the league winners. The smile from the manager's lips vanished immediately. "Huh, hehe..who won..don't tell me those lucky googles from the outskirts of the city won it..did they??",the look on the reporters face answered him. A slapfest continued and the manager had to be taken to medical room after 5 minutes.
Later in the press conference manager Deepak accused the newly crowned league champions of sending down spies and destroying the celebration. the manager known for the dislike of rival city manager didn't hide his emotions. "Those bloody lucky bullshits won the league because of luck."the manager said. Avoiding the relegation, the manager was asked about the struggles of the newly promoted teams, the reporter asked specifically about Leeds United,"there will be another team from the city for the next season. how do you see things for next season."Are you talking about Leeds United??haha we had a stint together in another league, clearly the most arrogant one around i don't think there will be any surprises next season. There is also Manchester United F.C from our city narrowly missing out on promotion, i would have hoped for them to get up, for us having a better relationship with them." saying that the manager jumped off the seat and said hes off to celebrate with the players.
A fan who was sitting aside was saying some curses " celebrating for avoiding relegation??when we should have been fighting for title" the fan controlled himself from throwing a rotten egg that he had in his hand.
