Patil not impressed by Pirates
Black Pearl have spoiled their
chance to hold on to their second spot as they only managed a 2-2 draw
at home against OMG ITS MY TEAM which they have totally dominated.
Pirates boss Eshan Patil was the most anxious man who saw his team
struggling to score goals and also conceding crucial goals.
Ally Selbie missed a glorious chance to put his team ahead as he failed to convert the penalty. However the same man put his team ahead on the 25th minute with a great volley on goal. Bhaichung Goswami put his team level late in the first half at the 40th minute with a header. Ally Selbie got his second goal of the game with another long range shot in the 62nd minute. Late in the game Parag Pragurd put his team level once again in 81st minute.
Patil said,'I think this was the game which we should had won but we had dropped two points today. It was a hard day for us where we had missed glorious opportunities to win the game. At least we had avoided defeat today which could had made the matter more worse. They had very few chances but scored in most of them but we had huge number of chances but we had scored in only few of them. I think we could had killed the game today. Our defense was improved today but still their is a lot of work to do.'
He continued,'The team needs some inspiration in the front line. It doesn't mean we need to sign a good player but we have the quality which we are failing to deliver. The strikers need more time and they will produce goals. Our next match is against Black Stabbers which will going to be very tough. I am confident that we can show some of our quality against them.'
