Pirates haunt Trinity again

Goals from Batra and Sandlie has given Black Pearl a third straight win over Trinity United XI. Revaan Batra opened the scoing in only 8th minute with a superb long range shot while Ron Wailer equalized in 17th minute. Late goal from striker Jonny Sandlie in the 80th minute sealed the third straight victory over Trinity.
After beating Trinity United with the same scoreline when Sheikh struck the wining goal in the 89th minute in the opening day and last season's 3-2 win over Trinity this was the first victory for Pirates at Trinity's home ground.
Pirates manager Eshan Patil was delighted by the result but he said that it was an upset that Pirates didn't even finished in the top 3 despite being finishing only two points away from division winners Real Madrid.
'Yes, of course it was a very tight season as Real Madrid got the last laugh but we were quietly in the race for the top spot. We have finished only two points away from the leaders which I think is a good finish. We didn't expected this much but we build on our last season and we have improved but its a disappointment that we didn't finished in the top three.'
'In yesterday's game the team has shown the right spirit and won the game. I think we could had won it more comfortably as we created lots of chances. Also we have improved defensively very well in the last few games. So overall we had a successful season.'
