Reds hold 2nd position.
The Reds defeated Arsenal FC is an
exciting match,which was well expected,by dominating the majority of
the match.The game kicked off beautifully for The Reds with 3
unbelievable chances coming in the first ten minutes itself.Though none
of them were converted,the fans were assured for the rest of the match.
The game got its first goal which was scored by the home team,as expected since those first ten minutes.Broderick Sutherland worked brilliantly in the penalty area before smashing the ball in the back of the net.Only two minutes later,Arsenal showed that they cannot be let loose and scored a frantic equalizer with Cesc's brilliant effort.
Just when the crowd thought thats enough for the first half,The Reds midfielder Julian Ellis scored a screamer from a distance,leaving the home fans jumping off their seats.
"We played some brilliant football,dominated the position and passed the ball nicely and kept it calm."were the words spoken by the boss.
The start of the second half saw second goal scorer,J.Ellis getting injured which was a huge blow for Reds.Hence,Parithosh had to put in Freddy Trigg,defender,to fill in Ellis' position.
"Loosing Ellis early in the second half was disappointing because we discussed some tactics in the dressing room which need Julian in the midfield.But I am quite happy with Freddy there,he played well too."said the manager.
The game was heading towards extra time when Marvin Huck brilliantly beat the goalkeeper in an one-on-one situation."I think Marvin is one of the most hard working lads in our squad and it showed today,he simply wanted his team to win with a bigger margin."spoke Parithosh.
Huck's goal put the game beyond Arsenal for sure but the win against 3rd position holders does not mean that their game against the league leaders will be an easy encounter.Hustlers,who are having 100% record in the league will be visiting Anfield on the 20th of September to face The Reds who are in 2nd position.
"Our next target is Hustlers,which we know won't be an easy one,we've already started preparing for it."concluded the manager.
