Somner the "Saviour"
The League Match pitting Trinity United XI against Metro saw Trinity's defeat in a splendid 3-2 result.
'Both teams were doing extremely well. However, Trinity were ready against our wing attacks. However, my team still worked the magic, especially Graham Somner', said manager Dapianoplaya.
Graham Somner scored a 91st minute goal to secure their lead at the end of the match, followed by a consolation from Amerigo Dianna to save them some face. He is now nicknamed the "Saviour" by his teammates.
'My teams have never scored a big margin since their match against Pakistan United, but they have always kept the game level, and not losing much.' said manager Dapianoplaya. He added, however that his forwards are still not cooperating enough even though they assisted each other for each of their goals.
Captain Colbert Sheridan has fulfilled his promise too saying that he would turn the tables since his injury, and from then on has not been losing a match since. He showed a good performance, keeping possession when its most needed. Freddy Waddle, however has been performing poorly and Dapianoplaya is very disappointed with him.
'He has not been delivering like he should for the team. I don't even have the confidence to play him against Grand Rapid Torpedos which are our rivals this coming weekend. They are leading the rest of the teams by a big margin and its going to stay that way unless a WHOLE team plays extraordinarily fair.' said Dapianoplaya.
'And to Mingken, that was a nice round. Hope to see you in the next few matches next season.' he added.
