looking to do after literally destroying Fugly FC with 6 goals. and
according to the manager, that is what basic about Empyreon !
The match was at Home and Empyreon couldn't ask for more against a struggling Fugly side. Elliot Bashford started it in the 18 minute with a sublime header from a Brian Duxbury cross. 5 minutes before the break, Fugly FC leveled through Kush Lal but within the next 3 minutes, Thomas Grubb and Don Lambert scored to see Empyreon through.
10 minutes from halftime, Harry Ertl scored his first of the game, and in the next few minutes, Grubb added his second of the match. The score now was 5-1 and the match was over.
5 minutes later, Paul Magnien scored a consolation goal for Fugly. But Elliot Bashford scored his second of the night, adding insult to injury.
Harry Ertl was the man of the match for his superbly done 3 assist and an excellent goal to cap the night.
" I am extremely happy with the way the team has played and showed grit to win. I know this thrashing was coming due to the midweek loss to Viva in the cup Quarters. The team showed more commitment, determination and willingness to attack even when 5 goals up !", said Imran Shaikh.
Empyreon FC are yet to be beaten in the league. They next face BaCkStAbBeRs in the 5th round of the league. The manager has promised some fireworks to follow this outstanding performance from the team.
