Training underway
Its been a while since the season was over. Top guns didn't have much to take from the last season except for some great performances from the new players last season. They are yet to buy a single player this season but have already sold two of their players quite cheaply.Loke Hubinette was brought in a couple of seasons back as a promising talent. He had quite a good start at Top Guns but an injury problem didn't help his cause and he failed to make a real mark at The Legrande. Undoubtedly he had to be shown the back door and that's what's exactly been done.The topic that the Top Guns board of directors have to look into now is that whether or not Top Guns need a new signing this season or not. All the decision is left for $!d to make, yet one can't help thinking that the board will push him to make at least one good signing.
Top guns had gone to a tour of Brazil soon after the season finished where they played 5 friendlies and played a charity game against the Breezi Football Fc. Winning 4 of the six games they have come back decently confident but they still hadn't started training for the next season. The manager when being asked about the reason for this delay was quoted saying, 'Well we will start training as soon as some of the administrative matters of the team are cleared. I'm not saying that we mix the administrative side and the football side in the club but we just wanted to focus on one point at a time. The boys have had a friendly tour to Brazil and so you cannot entirely say that we haven't had preseason training. We are expecting the preseason training camp to begin from the 13th of this month and everyone is eager to get to top form for the next season.'
The club has officially declared today morning that the training camp starts tomorrow and the players are gonna try to get whatever they can from the small period of time that they have available. Also there is news that a couple of veterans like Chester McCammon, Ned Broughton and Ike Battersby will miss the first day of training and will be joining the rest of the team from the next day. The camp is expected to bring out high results before the next season begins.
