After the final whistle at the
Bernebeu, there was a roar from the home crowd acknowledging the
efforts of their team in holding on to the might Bad Boys. It was a
stalemate and both sides had some decisions going against them.
It all started off when Raul Gonzalez was brought down by a supernatural cause...by the high magnitude of the gravitational pull which exist in the Bad Boys penalty area these days. It was 1-0 to the home side with the penalty converted by Ravenhill.
There was some injury news to follow as Roy Keane head butted Raul Gonzalez but got away with it, as the 80 year old linesman failed to extract anything from the incident due to weak eye sight. The poor lad had to be stretchered off the field and is suspected to have suffered a broken nose.
Finally, the away side leveled the scoring, when a header from Ned Bond sneaked into the net. There were some more chances, including the clearance from the goal line by the ever vigilant Mattew Brooker who used every inch of his long arms and punched it away to safety. The 80 year old, who in fact was Raul's grandfather again failed to extract anything...Great defending!!!
As a result, the match finished in a stalemate.
