We're Gonna need a bigger boat.....

After a relaxing Sunday evening spent with a bottle of gin, a small fishing vessell and some close friends, Benami returned to his office this morning to find yet more nonsense sprawled across the press pages of the LXM.

"At least we know a few things about the 'established yet unesteemed' boss of Kerala now. He's easily rattled that's for sure but I suppose when you only have a squad of 15 players you'd have to be constantly looking over your shoulder."

"This morning started well enough, the ranking had risen to 3 places away from that 13th bar after a convincing 3-1 Golden League win and we discovered that we had caught a new variety of fish whilst on the calming waters of the Tae-Hwa river last night. We've spoken to the authorities and they have allowed us to name the fish we so stupendously reeled in yesterday. The name is "Deepakitus Karalus Stupendous"."

"I think it's fantastic to have such a find named after you but we were toying with the name "Obvious Fish" to begin with in honour of his playing style."

When asked to elaborate any further, Benami said.....

"We have a cup tie coming up against them and shall we say we've had a look at the team and without wishing to sound like we know how his mind works, we have noticed a few things.

"He prefers to play 4-4-2 and has done in over 70% of his matches. At the same time he favours pressure so has a tendency to concede goals in the last third of each half. About 60% of all goals conceded have been scored in those periods. Another favourite is through plays yet he rarely tightens the centre in return. I'd say he's quite weak in the air at the back too, 40% of goals against coming as a result of crosses and corners.
Sadly, his star striker will be missing and we do mean sadly. We like to play teams when they are at their best as there can be no excuses afterwards. Ahsen and Kaka will be returning to the fray after short injuries as well and form could be a problem if they haven't been in training."

"We're also interested as to how Deepak is going to play the referee as we've noticed inconsistencies with his approach to official and their skill and hardness levels"

"As for a playmaker? Well, There again is an enigma, he mixes and matches every game so picking one will come down to who had the best match last time out."

"It's another mountain for us to climb but we overturned higher leagued opposition in the last round 6-1. Who knows, maybe history can repeat itself. One thing is for sure though, if we do win we're going to need a bigger boat to land our second "Deepakitus Karalus Stupendous" of the week."
